Maine Mousse: Orange Cranberry Creamed Honey
Maine Mousse: Orange Cranberry Creamed Honey
The Orange Cranberry Maine Mousse combines organic sweet orange and tart cranberry for a dreamy, creamy honey that is the brightest taste you can imagine! We introduced it only for the holiday season last year, but it was so popular that we added it to our year-round offerings.
Only a spelling whiz knows our Maine Mousse doesn't have any resemblance to a real moose from Maine! Our Maine Mousse is a luscious whipped honey that will melt in your mouth and melt your heart. Our creamed Maine Mousse is made by slowly mixing pure honey with a very small amount of crystallized honey over a period of 2 days. After 2 days of stirring in a special mixer, the honey has become creamy and thick so we call it Maine Mousse. It is so creamy that you think that there is cream or butter in it, but it is 100% pure honey, plus the fruits and spices we add to make our flavors.
This delicious combination is perfect for any season. It has a bright taste that is delicious no matter how you use it. The flavors are perfect together and the cranberries create a gorgeous pink color that is the prettiest of all our products! It takes very little to turn green tea into the most delicious hot or cold drink ever. We've been known to use it in cocktails, too. An orange-cranberry martini anyone? However you use it, you will want to buy this lovely concoction over and over!

A Note about Shipping Honey Products
Raw honey is sensitive to temperatures. Maine Mousse may melt if it is stored above 70 degrees. If it arrives and is a bit runny, stir it and place it in the refrigerator for a day and it will firm back up to it's delicious moussey-ness! Likewise, our 'runny' or traditional honey may be stiff if it is too cold on its way to you. Set it in a pan of warm, not hot, water to let it come back to room temperature.
