Don't get too buzzed with these hard-to-resist Honey Inspired Cocktails. After a long day of working with the bees, tending to our garden (also to support the bees) or preparing some new Maine Mousse recipes, we like to enjoy a cocktail on our back porch. Here are a few of our favorite honey-inspired (and simple to make) cocktails! Enjoy!

Bee Stinger Margarita
In a shaker with ice add:
1 1/2 - 2 Ounches of teqila
1 Ounce lime juice
3/4 Ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 1/2 Tablespoon Bee Stinger Honey
1 Ounce lime juice
3/4 Ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 1/2 Tablespoon Bee Stinger Honey
Shake well and pour in glass rimmed with chili lime salt and a lime slice.
Bee's Knees
In a shaker with ice add:
1 1/2 Ounce gin
1 1/2 Teaspoon Honey Syrup (see below)
1 Teaspoon lemon juice
Shake well and garnish with a lemon twist.
Queen Bee Old Fashioned
In a glass add:
2 Tablespoons of Honey Syrup (see below)
2 Tablespoons of Honey Syrup (see below)
2 Dashes Angostura bitters
1 Tablespoon of Blood orange juice (or reg OJ in pinch)
Mix above and then stir in:
1 Tablespoon of Blood orange juice (or reg OJ in pinch)
Mix above and then stir in:
2 ounces of burbon
Garnish with a blood orange twist and a cherry if you like
Honey Syrup
A great and simple and natural sweetner for all our mixed drinks!
1/2 cup all natuaral honey from maine
1/3 cup water
Warm in pan just until the honey is dissolved in the water. Cool to use.
